Shanti helps more than 1,200 men, women, and families in Orange County infected or affected by HIV disease each year. Services include case management, home delivered meals, transportation, individuals and couples counseling, therapy groups, support groups and HIV education and prevention services.
We have carefully designed Shanti Orange County’s array of services to help clients, their families and friends understand the nature of HIV/AIDS, its treatment and its impact. We provide case management, counseling services and group support in a confidential, caring community setting. Our volunteers and staff work to ease the difficulties and counteract the fears and stigma many patients face as they navigate the challenges of living with HIV/AIDS.
CASE MANAGEMENT
Case Management at Shanti is all about increasing the quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS. Our empathetic, non-judgmental staff is here to help those living with HIV/AIDS navigate their healthcare in dealing with their disease and treatment. Our purpose is to help identify an individual’s particular needs by developing a personal care plan to ensure success.

COUNSELING SERVICES
Shanti Orange County provides individual, couples and group counseling in a safe, caring and confidential setting. Counseling can assist with a wide range of issues those with HIV often face, including fear and isolation, grief and loss, communication and relationship concerns, and what it means to have HIV disease. Services are provided by doctoral psychology interns and trained volunteers under the direction of a licensed clinical psychologists.

HOME DELIVERED MEALS
Since 1991, Shanti Orange County has delivered more than 400,000 nutritious, balanced meals to those who are homebound and disabled due to HIV and AIDS. Working in partnership with meals providers throughout Orange County, we work to improve the health and well-being of residents too ill to shop and cook for themselves.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS & SEMINARS
Education plays a key role in raising public awareness and helping patients understand the nature of HIV/AIDS, its treatment and its impact. Throughout the year, Shanti Orange County presents seminars, workshops and trainings, many led by well-known HIV/AIDS experts and clinicians. Other support and education groups provide clients with opportunities to connect with and learn from one another, helping to ease isolation and improve communication and social skills.
